Opportunities and Challenges: An Examination of Educational Landscape for People with Visual Impairment in China

In the last decade, Chinese government issued several policy documents to guarantee provision of reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities sitting in national College Entrance Exam. This study explores how new policies impact students visual impairment. It begins by highlighting recent changes China that provide optimism about attention being paid equal education opportunities By gathering statistics on number impairment college entrance exam years, paper assesses reasons why virtually no impairments are taking compared their peers without disabilities. light significant barriers emerged from analysis, concludes improvement and directions future research.
